Daniel's apartment

Behold: my dream home. The stunning private home of interior architect Daniel Heckscher, located in Stockholm, is everything I could ever wish for: a perfect colour palette, beautiful furniture and of course a dream location. Designed by Daniel himself (with the input of his children), along with his team at Note Design Studio, the exquisite space is playful without losing its Nordic elegance.

He decided to mimic the pink-orange facade of his 1988 apartment building – a colour common at that time – and bring it in the interiors, but making it more contemporary and vivid. The pink-orange combined with a super-saturated yet atmospheric blue is a breath of fresh air in otherwise stale and white surfaces often seen in Scandinavian homes. I also love the pale green tiles on the kitchen’s walls, combined with the grey, practical cabinets.

What a dream house, really. I hope to decorate my own home like this, someday.
